Migrasi server dibatalkan | Server migration is canceled

Kepada Yang terhormat, Pelanggan Bali Orange pengguna Server USA.

Telah terjadi perubahan baru seiring datacenter lama (Liquidweb.com) meminta maaf dan memberikan koreksi atas Terms of Services (TOS) tentang software antispam ASSP Deluxe. Berita itu terungkap ketika kami mengunjungi forum WHT, tempat kami melayangkan protes kepada datacenter. Setelah tanggal 14 Januari 2008, kami merasa datacenter sudah tidak memberikan harapan dan kami harus mempersiapkan rencana lain agar pelanggan tetap merasa nyaman dengan performa website dan aktivitas email tanpa SPAM.

Kurun waktu 5 hari setelah tanggal tersebut, kami mempersiapkan sebuah datacenter baru di Theplanet.Com, dengan melupakan forum-forum tersebut. Kami berpikir, jika datacenter lama memang berniat memperbaiki hubungan, pasti mereka akan kontak secara personal kepada kami. Kenyataannya tidak ada email satupun yang kami terima. Pada saat memindahkan 4 website ke datacenter baru, seorang teman baik (Mas Dion, Admin sebuah ISP di Jakarta), memberitahukan kepada kami bahwa pihak datacenter meminta maaf dan menawarkan sebuah kompensasi atas kesalahan teknisinya yang tiba-tiba mematikan software ASSP Deluxe tersebut.

Segera kami melakukan klarifikasi melalui forum tersebut (WHT), dan melakukan negosiasi terhadap kompensasi yang akan diberikan. Berikut hasil negosiasi dengan pihak datacenter :

• Liquidweb meminta maaf atas kesalahan yang telah diperbuat oleh salah satu teknisinya.
• Penggunaan software ASSP Deluxe ternyata tidak menyalahi aturan TOS datacenter tersebut.
• Kami diperbolehkan menggunakan software tersebut.
• Kami diberikan kompensasi dengan mengganti primary Hard Drive 160 Gb SATA menjadi Dual 160GB SATA / Hardware Raid 1, dengan harga diskon sesuai kesepakatan. Kami memaksa untuk menggunakan teknologi RAID karena kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan ketahanan data dan meningkatkan performa/kecepatan pengolahan data.
• Kami diberikan instalasi baru (Fresh Installation) Operating System, Software baru (Apache, PHP, MySQL, dll), dan meningkatkan partisi swap menjadi 6 GB.

Jadi, kondisi spesifikasi hardware server Bali Orange datacenter USA adalah : Enterprise series Processor Intel Dual Xeon E5405 Quad Core * (Harpertown), 8 cores total, 2.0GHZ per core, Memory: 6GB DDR2 PC5300, Hard drive: Dual 160GB 7200RPM SATA RAID 1 / 8MB Cache, 6Gb Swap Partition.

Dengan peristiwa ini, kami menyatakan bahwa migrasi server dibatalkan semenjak terjadi kesepakatan baru antara Bali Orange dan Liquidweb. Para pelanggan tidak akan mengalami downtime dan pada beberapa kasus akan mengalami masa adaptasi dengan datacenter baru yang biasanya memakan waktu berhari-hari.

Efek yang akan terjadi pada mesin baru pada datacenter adalah akan terjadi downtime selama kurang lebih maksimum 2 jam. Kejadian tersebut karena kami harus mentransfer data user kedalam Hard Drive baru. Kegiatan ini akan kami laksanakan pada hari Minggu pagi 25 Januari 2009, pukul 01.00 WITA.

Demikian pemberitahuan dari kami, sebelumnya kami minta maaf karena kejadian salah faham ini. Semoga kompensasi yang kami minta mampu meningkatkan kinerja website dan aktifitas online bagi pelanggan Bali Orange tercinta. Terima kasih.

Dearest Bali Orange’s customer, USA datacenter user.

New changes have occurred over our datacenter (Liquidweb.com), They asked an apologize and provide an explanation on the Terms of Service (TOS) for anti-spam software ASSP Deluxe. That news coming up when we visited the WHT forum, where we posted a protest to datacenter (Liquidweb.com). After 14 January 2008, we feel our datacenter (Liquidweb.com) is not going to give hope and we must prepare other plans so that customers remain comfortable with the performance of website and email without SPAM activity.

Within 5 days after that date, we are preparing a new datacenter in Theplanet.Com and leave the forums behind. We think, if the Liquidweb.com datacenter intend to improve the relationship, they certainly will be contacting using personal email to us. In fact there is no single email we receive. When we moved 4 website to the new datacenter, our good friend (Mr Dion, Admin an ISP in Jakarta), told us that the Liquidweb.com datacenter apologize and offer compensation on they technician fault by turning off the ASSP Deluxe software without any notification.

Immediately we do the clarification through forum (WHT), and conduct negotiations on the compensation to be awarded. Following the results of negotiations with the Liquidweb.com datacenter:

• Liquidweb apologize for any mistakes that have sent by one of their technician.
• Using software ASSP Deluxe was not infringe TOS of Liquidweb datacenter.
• We may use the software.
• Compensation given by change primary Hard Drive 160 GB SATA with Dual 160GB SATA / Hardware Raid 1, in accordance with the agreement of price discounts. we insists to use RAID technology as the need to increase the resilience of the data and improve the performance / speed data processing.
• We are installing a new (Fresh Installation) Operating System, new software (Apache, PHP, MySQL, etc.), and increase the swap partition to 6 GB.

Thus, Bali Orange Server specifications in USA datacenter are: Enterprise series Dual Processor Intel Xeon E5405 Quad Core * (Harpertown), 8 cores total, 2.0GHZ per core, Memory: 6GB DDR2 PC5300, Hard drive: Dual 160GB 7200rpm SATA RAID 1 / 8MB Cache, 6GB Swap Partition.

With this event, we stated that migration will be canceled since there was a new agreement between the Liquidweb and Bali Orange. We inform that you will have a downtime experience for approximately 2 hours maximum because we had to transfer all the data into the new Hard Drive. This activity will be conducted on Sunday morning 25 January 2009, at 01:00 WITA.

Such notice from us, we are apologize for your inconvenient. Hopefully the compensation will be able to improve the performance of websites and online activities for beloved Bali Orange customers. Thank you.
